The Evolution of Trees – conclusions/final thoughts

This report focused on studying and documenting gymnosperm and angiosperm trees. A goal with this research was to improve my skills of tree identification. Although I had to conduct all of my research online using the Hoyt Arboretum online database, I was able to explore countless trees and learn important things about them while seeingContinue reading “The Evolution of Trees – conclusions/final thoughts”

Report 3 – Conclusion

I wanted to inventory the trees of Alberta Park in NE Portland, even though the trees had already been inventoried by local non- profits, local government agencies and volunteer citizen scientists. Final Thoughts: Mt Hood National Forest

To conclude my field report on the Mount Hood National Forest, I thought this was a great opportunity to get out of the house and identify native trees. Potential Age, Height, and Growth of my Yard’s Trees

Keith Kozelisky Lab Report #3 For my third lab report, I decided to attempt to estimate the age of the trees that I have previously documented, predict how long they may potentially have left to live, and how high they may potentially become. I did this by using a phone application that estimated the heightContinue reading “Potential Age, Height, and Growth of my Yard’s Trees”

Final Thoughts on Kronberg Park

Kronberg Park is used as a green-space for people to visit and walk through as they make their way into downtown Milwaukie. When they were constructing the park for this use, they removed non-native species and planted native species to make the park more “natural” and suitable for wildlife. One surprise that was left behindContinue reading “Final Thoughts on Kronberg Park”
